Rice Creek
Upper Rice Creek offers a wildlife-filled kayaking adventure that any skill level can navigate.
We deliver kayaks to Rice Creek every Sunday for our Sunday Family Special! This is a self-guided trip on the upper section, starting in Circle Pines and ending in Shoreview. This trip is a relaxing 2.5 - 3 hours and is good for beginners. The cost is $59 per person or just $49 per person* if you have 4 or more people.
Note: Due to the drought, Rice Creek is too low to paddle any more in 2023. We have moved family day to our Mississippi for our self-guided See the City from the Mississippi trip! Follow us on facebook or check back in the spring for Rice Creek trips!
We deliver and pick up the kayaks for you. You only need to manage your personal transportation to the launch point and back. It is recommended that you arrange to have a car at each end, use a ride share option like Uber, or park your bike at the end and drive to the launching point. Just a 20-30 minute bike ride on the Rice Creek Regional Trail.
Groups of 4 or more can book Rice Creek trips 7 days a week, as our schedule allows. We sometimes book guided trips on lower Rice Creek for advanced kayakers only, as conditions allow. * Discounted price is for cleaning your own kayak at the end. Towels and spray provided. Have it cleaned for you, add $15.
