Upcoming Events

We plan regular events including Friday Fieldtrips, Full Moon Paddles, and Camp and Paddles.  These group outings are open to paddlers with their own kayaks and gear and to those who need to rent from us!

Stay tuned for new event postings for Spring 2024!

Friday October 6th- Saturday October 7th, 2023: Fall Camp and Paddle

St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park.

Join us on the St. Croix to camp and/or paddle this weekend!

We are staying at St Croix Bluffs Regional Park in the non-electric tent sites on Friday and Saturday nights. You will need to make your own campsite reservation and can do that here:

Saturday's group paddle will be from Kinnickinnic State Park to St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park. We will start at noon and meet earlier to coordinate our shuttles/transportation. Join us with your own kayak for no charge, or let us know in advance if you need to rent a kayak.

We will paddle the end of the Kinnickinnic River to where it joins the St. Croix. Paddling on the Kinni may require some maneuvering around trees and shallow water. Once we get on the St. Croix, the river is wide and has boat traffic. We will stop for a break at the mouth of the Kinni. Dress for the weather, as it is predicted to be cool.

Note that those who park at the start will need a WI state Park sticker or to purchase a day pass. St. Croix Bluffs Park requires a Washington County Parks sticker (or an Anoka county sticker works too) or day pass.

For those who want to join us on our Friday adventure, too, we will explore the same trip/area on Friday.

RSVP by email to booking@twincitieskayaking.com.

Saturday October 14th, 2023: Fall Lock and Dam Trip

Bohemian Flats Park to Hidden Falls Park, 11 am.

Join us to paddle from Bohemian Flats park to Hidden Falls park, going through the lock and dam #1.

Bring a lunch or snacks. We will take a break at White Sands Beach along the way. Trip should take about 4 hours. Dress for the weather.

Launch time at Bohemian Flats is 11 am so make your shuttling arrangements, if needed, in advance. You will need transportation for yourself at both ends. Contact us in advance by email if you would like to coordinate cooperative shuttling with other paddlers who also need a ride: booking@twincitieskayaking.com. Or if you come with a friend, drive two vehicles and leave one at each end. Note that parking lot at Bohemian Flats is a pay lot.

Come along with your own gear for no charge. Or rent a kayak for discounted rate of $49 plus tax per person. Must reserve rentals in advance by emailing booking@twincitieskayaking.com.

Trip is weather permitting, so stay posted for updates. You can RSVP by email if you plan to come so we know to contact you if the trip is cancelled or rescheduled.
